18 Dic :: EnglishLunch – Learn English Holidays: New Year

This week, at the begining  of English Lunch (every Wednesday from 14:30 to 15:30), we will watch the video: «Learn English Holidays: New Year» from EnglishClass101.com. We encourage you to watch it before wednesday lunch!

Watch the video…

New Year

In this class, you will learn how Americans celebrate the turning of the new year on New Year’s Eve. We’ll explain what you can expect at American celebrations and also tell you why it’s important to have someone you like nearby at midnight.

Preceded, weary, take it easy, new year’s eve, new year’s day, kicks off, lenty, parades, times square, resolutions, sarcastic humor.

Christmas carol…

We will finish the lunch singing «The Little Drummer boy» by Celtic Woman and… also some words to practice: new born, to lay before, fit, play, drum, ox, lamb.
